I have a worksheet with a ton of customer information. Here is an Example:
Provider Name DOB Date Serviced
Joe Smith 01/01/1951 1/1/2011
I have about 6,000 rows similar to that. I was given a list I converted into excel of names and dates of service, but I need to find their DOB's and who their provider was. Here is an example of the data I was given:
Name Date Serviced
Smith 1/1/2011
I tried to advance filter for the 400 names I have (manually converted every name to the exact format! (="=Smith") and Its returning names but not the proper service date! Since there are numerous records for Smith, I need to be certain I match the right one up with the right date or the provider will be incorrect. I used the advanced filter so it would return Smith AND 1/1/2011. Is the OR situation of the advanced filter messing up my results? I'm stuck in between a rock and a hard place on this one guys and am going to be forced to *Gulp* Manually go through 6000 recordsso any help will save my sorry a** from losing my mind

if it filters on smith then it must return the date in the same row,so post a sample workbook showing where it's not right

attached is the results of a fraction of my search, but nonetheless it shows what is happening
I may have made a mistake filtering the data AFTER the advanced filter >.< DOH!
Is there an easier method for obtaining results that I'm looking for? even if you can point me in the direction of a reading that can help me I thrive on learning and would appreciate it.
