    Default Worksheet Question

    When opening an XL file, the default workbook also opens. How can I prevent the default workbook from opening.

    Thanks, Dave

    Hi Dave;

    I am not sure if this is whats happening, but from here; you may have saved the file that keeps opening in the following directory;

    C:\Documents and Settings\username\Application Data\Microsoft\Excel
    If so, delete the file and it should be ok.

    This may help:
    Control Panel / Scheduled Tasks : remove the filename.

    Re: Default Worksheet Question

    Thanks but I find no files in the scheduler, nor can I find the file anywhere except when I do a save as - When I look at the properties and find the directory, its not there (and hidden files are shown in my views). I did save the workbook once because I created a macro that I wanted to use in all XL files so thats how this all started. Now I cant find the file to delete it.
