Hello --
How do I get line markers in a scatterplot spaced further apart?
Thanks,
Sarah
Select the axis, right-click, choose Format Axis..., then under Axis Options, change the major unit to whatever you want it to be. The default is Auto.

I wasn't clear. Please excuse me. I'm not interested in making the axis tick marks further apart, I'm interested in making line markers further apart. So if I have a line in a scatterplot and I've designated it by a black line with + sign markers, how do I make those markers farther apart?
Now I'm confused. The only lines I'm aware of in scatterplots (axis lines aside), are trendlines. Any chance of a dummy workbook showing the issue? (If someone else reading this is more familiar with scatterplots and wants to jump in, feel free.
Edit: I now see what you mean, I think. You can follow the same steps as I gave you above, except edit the minimum and maximum rather than the major unit. That should space the tickers out further, if I understand your requirements.

Could it be you have used the line chart style rather than xy-scatter.
Line charts have equal spacing between x category values, unless they are dates.
If you still need help post example workbook to illustrate your problem
