Hello All
I have excel 2010
I just noticed I have to use 4 digits (2011) to get the current year.
If I use 2 digits (11) I get 1911!!
Is there a way to use 2 digits and actually get the current year?
thanks in advance
In which context are you using "11"?
If you type in 1/1/11 you should get 1st Jan 2011, isn't that the case or are you doing something else?
Note: you posted this in "Outlook" - I moved it to "Excel General"

Audere est facere
With DATE function Excel always counts from 1900 so if you use 11 for the year you get 1911, either use 111 or the actual year like 2011, e.g.
=DATE(1,1,111)
or
=DATE(1,1,2011)
Audere est facere
format your all desired cells in which you want 2011 when you enter 11.
select all cell > format cells > Number---Custom 200# ?/? or 2000
now enter 11 in these cells and find the result as 2011
