Exclamation Sheet partially unsearchable, even when converted to PDF.

Hey, I have done a tiny bit of Googling and I searched this forum for related posts, but found nothing.

I have a workbook that I use in Excel for tracking nutrition data. I have a lot of nutrition info for individual foods and home made recipes. Since I can't bring my laptop everywhere with me, but I need to update my diet info in real time, I need to be able to search the entirety of the nutrition info archive on the go. I downloaded the sheet onto my iPhone, but my Spreadsheet app can't search workbook pages. I have a PDF reading app (GoodReader) which can search PDFs, but I notice that when I saved my nutrition info book as a PDF, certain terms like "butter" and "Ovaltine" wouldn't be found, even though I was looking at them. "Whey" turns up. "Crispy" turns up. But the same words that can't be found in my iPhone's PDF reader also get skipped over when I search them in Preview on my MacBook. Something about the content of these particular cells seems not to be transferring over when I save it to PDF. What's the deal?

well i'm happy that worked for you. but cant you see why i asked
you convert a working excel file (microsoft) then convert that for use on an iphone (mac) app which doesnt have search. so you convert that to pdf(i adobe ?) or some other app you dont say , then say you cant search there either. so where is the excel problem?
