Thread: Finding a substring within a sheet

Hello,

I'm trying to find a way to search a sheet for a substring (as in part of the contents of a cell, not the whole contents) and return a reference to the cell in which the substring appears. It's essentially exactly what is done by the Find function in the menu (with the binoculars icon) but I want it in formula form so that it outputs the location of the search result. Somewhat like the FIND function except instead of searching within a cell for the location of the start of a substring, I want to search within and entire sheet for the cell containing the substring.

Any ideas?
