I have a list of countries and each county can be of a certain category (rehab, end user.. etc (there are 5)
I want to have a counter to count the value of type (ie "rehab") if the cell containing country is of type x (ie albania).

Hi and welcome to the forum.

Your requirement(for me), is not clear.

Would you like to upload a small sample workbook?

Given you have 2010 use COUNTIFS()
Say Column A is "Countries" and Column B is "Category"
In say D2 your required country and in E2 the catagory to match
    Then
    =COUNTIFS(A:A,D2,B:B,E2)
    Does this help?
