    Exclamation Formatting Help

I have a very specific requirement for my excel document, however I cannot for the life of me remember how to achieve this function and it is quite specific.

I have a database of foods with Calorie, Carbohydrate, Protein & Fat values beside.
On the same page, I then have a food diary in which I want to be able to enter what I have eaten, and the values that coinside with that food from the database appear and add up in a seperate column which helps me add up and tally my total Calorie, Carb, protein & fat intake for the day. Can anyone please assist me with this function please, as I am running out of patience and time

    Any help is greatly appreciated!

    Re: Formatting Help

Suspect you're looking for VLOOKUP. Or, possibly, just LOOKUP. Or you may have used INDEX/MATCH depending on the layout of your sheet.

Sounds like you could use a Pivot Table, if the data are correctly structured.
