Function to return values from worksheet

I am trying to create a formula that will search a range of cells from a different worksheet and return those values into corresponding cells on a new sheet.
I'm not even making sense to myself when I write that so here's an example:
I have a list of items and their dimensions across 4 columns
I want to create a formula that when i create a report and type in the item name, the dimensions are pulled from the other worksheet into my reporting sheet.
    Is this possible??
I can do a nested IF function but that only works for a few items. My inventory is over 400 items.

    Grateful for any assistance!!!!

Re: Function to return values from worksheet

    Hi cate,

    Welcome to the forum.

To overcome If function nesting issue, there are other options available like array functions or sumproduct function.. would suggest you to upload a sample file. Thanks.
