    cells with #####################################

Hi, I am exporting data to import for another system via the .csv format.

After the export I have to run a few macros to clean up the data (strip html, etc)

The resulting text after the strip shows up as #################################################################################################### ##################################################################

    well you get the point.

When I double click in that cell it shows the text that I expect.

When I copy and paste somewhere else like notepad it shows only ##################################################

WHen I resave as .csv it is now ################################################# and the actual text is gone.

How can I prevent this from happening.

    Thanks
    Lance

The problem is you have too many characters for the cell. You can upgrade to Office 2007 or 2010, or you can split the text into multiple cells.
