Thread: Conditional Filter and Selection from Another Column

I would like to set a conditional filter for the first column to see if their are any repeated entries and if there are then keep only the cell with the highest value in the second column. For example:

Date Amount

2/2/12 10
2/2/12 20
2/2/12 30
2/3/12 100
2/3/12 5
2/4/12 13
2/4/12 7

So in this example above the desired output would be:

2/2/12 30
2/3/12 100
2/4/12 13


Can anyone help or direct me to a resource for help?
