Confusing title but here is want I was wanting to do. I have a data set that contains a lot of information but most of it is not needed for an overall review. I have it broken down in a pivot table by person and the number of items next to their name. But if this is emailed out for the review the person in the table might want more information on each record. Is there a way for them to click their name in the pivot table and then it brings up a new sheet that contains the full columns of records.
Thanks
Hi doubl3d80,
yes this can be achieved in pivot tables... if person name is there in page field(report filter ) field, then right click on pivot and look for show pages option. Alternatively, try double click on the value against any person name and a new tab will be created with necessary details. If this is not clear, post a sample file. Thanks.

Here is a very simple version of what I have. My goal would be for the user to click on the names and then get the records from the data tab of the user selected. I looked into the Show Report Filter Pages but that option is grayed out and I don't really know how to use it. Thanks.
Hi doubl3d80,
Just double click on the cell B3 and you'll have the details in a new sheet... is there any particular reason to click on only name as double click on data in front of that name will do the task. ?

Alright, that was way more easy than I was making it out to be. Can you change the format of the new sheet that appears?
Thanks..
New sheet gets generated with default formatting and to me it provides more nicer view
If you still want to re-format it, you can clear the formatting to blank manually or macro. Thanks.
