I've worked in the pipefitting construction field for years.....now I'm in the office and am COMPLETELY new to excel.
I'm looking for advice on a quality online course..... price is not a concern. I've looked at free tutorials , but they don't look good for me.
Thanks, Jon

Hi,
Welcome to the forum.
Before we get started please take a moment to read the forum rules and amend your thread title accordingly.
Dom1. Use concise, accurate thread titles. Your post title should describe your problem, not your anticipated solution. Use terms appropriate to a Google search. Poor thread titles, like Please Help, Urgent, Need Help, Formula Problem, Code Problem, and Need Advice will be addressed according to the OP's experience in the forum: If you have less than 10 posts, expect (and respond to) a request to change your thread title. If you have 10 or more posts, expect your post to be locked, so you can start a new thread with an appropriate title.
To change the title of the thread, click EDIT on the original post, then click the Go Advanced button, then change the title. If two or more hours have passed, the EDIT button will not appear, and you need to ask a moderator to change the title.

Here are a few sites that I think are pretty good:
www.datapigtechnologies.com/ExcelMain.htm - Some good video tutorials
www.contextures.com/tiptech.html - A very comprehensive site with sample files and some video tutorials
www.cpearson.com/excel/MainPage.aspx - Another comprehensive site
spreadsheetpage.com - Some good tips and he's also an excellent author of Excel books which I would recommend

I should point out I don't think much of Excel courses in general and think you learn much better by taking tasks that you have to complete and researching how these can be done using Excel. I appreciate for a complete beginner that Excel can be quite daunting so a short course can be good to get the absolute basics but you can spend a lot of money on supposed Intermediate/Advanced courses that will teach you very little that you couldn't get from putting a bit of time in on forums like this and asking a few questions. In my experience a lot of people who run Excel courses have nothing more than a basic knowledge of it themselves.

Thanks Dom, I'll check those out.
