how to get month out of pivot tabel that contain date

I have a (BIG) table of data with each entry start by day (1/1/12 for example), so when I make the pivot table it will sort things by date. Is there anyway to make it sort in month/year without making a new col for month/year?

Hi Tksss,

If you do not wish to add new column(s), you can always format the existing date column to "month/year" and then you can sort it.. look at the attachment. Thanks.
