Hi Guys wondering if you could help me
i need to create a time sheet where by hours from 7 am to 18:00(6pm) get placed in one area and then hours after this get placed in another area to work out how many hours worked on on morning shift and then in the evening. as sometimes we only work 2 hours between 7-18 and then 8 after that your help would be greatly appreciatedTimeSheet.xls
Bump anyone willing to help?
Didn't I give you formulas for this on another forum somewhere? Do you have the link to that so we have a starting point, at least?

If you've been given good help, use theicon below to give reputation feedback, it is appreciated.
Always put your code between code tags.
your code here
“Actually, I *am* a rocket scientist.” - JB (little ones count!)
If I understood yoyur request correctly, I think the attached SS has what you need. You were not too clear on what constituted "Night" hours, so I did not include anything for that.
Let me know if this is what you wanted, or if there is anything else I can add for you
Please
[1] Use code tags. Place "[ code ]" before the first line of code and "
" after the last line of code. Exclude quotation marks
[2] Mark your post [SOLVED] if it has been answered satisfactorily, by editing your original post using advanced mode.

FDibbins thanks m8 thats exactly what i needed, yeah sorry i did not provide the times for night as i figured if i got what i need for evening i could modify it myself. i will work on it and if i can't get your help again. JBeaucaire i dont think so i posted on one forum of a related nature but was requested to start my own thread. thanks for the help though
Hi FDibbins no i can't figure out how to get it to use past 00:00, The night shift would be from 00:00(midnight) untill 07:00 could you help me out one last time i think this is way beyond my basic programming ability. i will be eternally grateful
I have updated the formulas and streamlined them. I think it gives you wnat you want for all 3 categories. I made a table with range names to simplify the formulas, do not delete the table or the formylas will not work. You can either move it elsewhere, of hide the columns it is in.
Let me know if you need anything else
