    Large Database

    Hi guys,

I have a large database sheet with 1600+ items. I also have 29 pages that about 30 INDEX and MATCH formulas.

This is causing Excel to go very slow and freeze and then I have quit. Is there a way to make it so that it works faster or not freeze?

    Thanks,

    Jonathan

I would suggest using a table in one worksheet to gather all your data instead of one worksheet per day, and mine that table for the information you need.

    hello

    pivot table / table maybe..

but if you stick with your worksheet and formulas.

better to turn off the auto calculation
then calculate before saving ( this is the "burden" part)

How would you set up the one worksheet? How would it be any different then having multiple worksheets?

Set up the table with the headers you are using now, except add the date and type of meal, such as...

Date Meal Quantity Measure Food Item Cost Daily Points
