    Excel 2010 Gridlines

    Hi All,

Just got new machine with Excel 2010 on and I appear to have no gridlines.

I have gone into Advanced settings, changed gridline colour, but these settings only appear to be for that specific Worksheet. Every time I close down and reopen back to no Gridlines.

    Any suggestions?

BTW: In general I dislike the look of 2010 vs 2007. Am alone in this?

    Hi TimEd,

Option to show / hide gridlines is there in View -> Gridlines. Thanks.

    Re: Excel 2010 Gridlines

    Hi DILIPandet,

Yes, they are ticked but still not very visible. I have dropped the contract and brightnes on my screen and can see a vague line, but nothing like it was in 2007.

    Any other ideas

    Thanks,
    Tim

    Hi TimEd,

In 2010 Excel there is a TAB named VIEW. Click on this tab and in the SHOW group uncheck the GRIDLINES box.

    Re: Excel 2010 Gridlines

    Hi Marvin,

Gridlines is Checked (as I want to see the Gridlines)

What I am after is setting the gridlines to a far more visible colour and saving that setting so that ALL future New workbooks are opened with that setting.

    Thanks,
    Tim

    Re: Excel 2010 Gridlines

    Hey Tim,

Click the top left of the spreadsheet to the left of A and above 1. This selects the entire spreadsheet. Then On the HOME tab in the Font group drop down the Borders Control and select "All Borders". If that isn't thick enough for you then "More Borders..." at the bottom of the dropdown and you can make them thick and dark.

Then read http://social.technet.microsoft.com/...e-7be8d00e27d8 to save it and have it be your default.

Hope I got the question correct this time.

    Re: Excel 2010 Gridlines

I just found the solution to this!! It was driving me crazy as well, and so I came on here to search for the answer. It is the Cell Fill Color that's the problem. Highlight your worksheet, go to the Fill Color Bucket, and choose No Fill. The Gridlines will re-appear. The fill color was set to white, and when you color a cell, you lose the gridlines.
