does anyone know a workaround for the "repeat item label" function that exists in 2010 but not in excel 2007 for pivot tables?

If you need it in a live pivot table, then you can add a new column to your data that just returns the row number and use that column as the first row field in the pivot table, then hide it. If the pivot table does not need to be live, then you can simply copy and paste values, then fill in the blanks.
    Good luck.

hey, thnx for ur reply, im already using 6 extra columns filled with formulas to basically create an exact copy of the pivot table, there is however one issue with the formula i use: =IF( OR(H6="Gesamtergebnis", H6="Grand Total"), "", IF(H6="",A5, H6))

this formula basically fills in what was filled in in the cell above the current cell (col A is the copy, col H is from the pivot table). now the problem is i have some captions(or item labels) in the pivot table that are empty and also shud be empty. the issue now is that this formula now continues to fill in values which were actually from a previous item label because it did not recognise that there was a new item label already which was empty. i wud need an extra condtion in this formula that can check whether or not any specific cell in the pivot table is a label or not.
    thnx a bunch :D
