Keep original file path when I copy a sheet into a new book

    Hello,

Currently I have a problem when I open an excel file, I have to copy a sheet into a new Book then when I want to save my new book with 'save as' the new open dialog is on my "default location" option and not the path file of my original sheet....

    IE :

    I open : c:\job\2013\Client\Operation\jan\myfile.xls
I copy sheet1 in my new book
I want to save as but open dialog is on C:\Users\Me\Documents... and I want this path c:\job\2013\Client\Operation\jan\

Can you help me? I'm losting too much time...

    Best regards

Ok, if you are doing this manually, it tends to differ from system to system. Sometimes, it will open the file path of the last accessed file, sometimes not.

So... I have to write a macro? It updates the default save path when I copy a sheet in a new book... possible?

Do you already have a macro in place?
