    "Not Responding" when I copy or paste, etc

    Every time I copy, paste, or anything that requires an action my excel goes into not responding mode for 20 to 30 seconds. This occurs even if I am running a macro that copies and paste it will still lag to the point that the macro becomes useless. It is now even freezing up when I save the workbook, especially if I have done some work on the page. This problem wasn't there 6 months or so when I used excel last, but was there when I started using it again last month. Please help if you can.

    how big is the file you are using?
    does it happen with a new (blank) workbook?
    does it happen with all of your workbooks, or just some/1?

    It happens to any file I try to save, or copy, or paste, etc. I just tried it with a brand new book and same issue. it is happening with all of my workbooks.

    Have you tried to re-install/repair excel/office?

    Just ran the repair for Excel, but still did not fix the issue.

    Whether other office applications is also reacting in the same way when doing copy paste?

    Hello,

    This sounds like a performance issue to me.
    Did you try the following things:
    - Restart computer
    - Restart Excel
    - Limit the "Showing recent documents" down to less than 5 (I left mine 3, some even turns it off)

    And as Sixthsense suggests, did you try copy paste on other MS application such as Word or PowerPoint?

    I just tried it on word and it also had the same issue. I also just notice that when I switch the CAP LOCK on and off it also has a delay??

    I tried that also and I was mainly up to date, installed what needed to be install, still didn't fix the issue. =0(

    You probably need to reinstall all of Office 2007
