Force Leading Zeroes to Persist without ' marks...?

HI,
How do force leading zeroes to persist without putting in ' marks? I am trying to create a list that all four digits will persist in values when the number is 0641...etc.

(I can't use ' marks because they cause a probably when transferring to ACCESS...)

What context are you trying to do this in? Formulas? VBA?

You will need the cell to be set as text though Excel makes it very hard to stick. You can try using

Hi Synthia,

As far as I understand, you should change the cells' format to "Text". Select your column, press Ctr+1, and select "Text" from the "caterory" list on the "Number" tab.
After that whenever you enter your number with leading zeros, Excel won't "eat" zeros.
