Hi,
This is the situation... I have 300 employees on an attendance point system. If you are absent or late, then a certain point is issued to the EE. However, after a 30 day period without incident then .5 point is removed from the total until zero or another point is added.
I need: A formula that would remove .5 points every 30 days from the total until zero (if they are lucky).
Example:
A1_____|______A2_____|______A3________|___A4
EE#____|_____Name____|__Date of violation__|__Points
1256___|_____John D.___|___4/15/10_______|___2.0
With the formula, a half point should come off automatically after 30 days if no further incident is recorded. In this example a half point should be removed on May 15, 2010 and having a balance of 1.5. Then another .5 points in other 30 days and the balance then should be 1.0 and so on and so on until the cell A4 reaches 0.
Thanks for any help.

How are the violations recorded? Is it one line for each employee with all violations totaled on that line, or is it one line for each violation? The former will require VBA. The latter can be done with a formula.
I have similar situation but instead of 0.5 point, we remove 1 point.
It is one line for each violation.
How to do this with a formula?
Thanks.
another situation:
We need to roll-off whatever value is in a cell after 6 months?
How to do this one also?
Thanks.
