    Washout default text in cell

Hi just wondering if there's any function that put a washout or greyscale text in a cell by default and will only show the new input after someone entered some value in that cell.

    Thank you

The easiest way would be to use conditional formatting.

The easiest way is to google "excel conditional formatting" you will find some great examples. Much easier than me trying to recreate something that has already been done.
