I have a templete that uses column=nameA column=nameB column=nameC. What I want to do is have a column=nameA or nameB, but I can't seem to get the correct syntax. I have tried column=(nameA or nameB) and column=OR(nameA,nameB)

Are you trying to use the COLUMN function in excel to do this? That function returns a numeric value of the column that the formula references. Might be easier to create a range name for the entire column.
Oneski,
Uses? Where? In a formula? In VBA?I have a templete that uses column=nameA column=nameB column=nameC.
Post a workbook and explain in context.
I have a templete file that is used to populate a parts list. It uses column=Quantity. Like the following:
"
Item #" " Qty " " U/M" Reference Designators "Cage Code/Sub Cage Column=Quantity Column=Designator Column=CAGE NO. Column=PART NUMBER Column=Description Column=MFG ID Column=Manufacturer #1 Column=VIDNUM
What I want to do is use the OR function so one column could equal one of two things. See attached
Don't see the attachment.

I don't understand. You have a table with three rows, the two top rows contain text.
Just type the text that you want to appear. There's no calculation going on here, anyway, so what would you want to use an OR function for?
This needs a lot more explanation.
