Thread: Devide cell values over a specific period of time

Hi There,

I am new here, hopefully someone can help.

I am looking for a formula who spreads cell values over a specific period of time, and then also taking as a starting point the month you are in or take as a starting point.

For example;

in the first colum i put in; client, second colum; order value, thrid colum; period, forth columm; startdate. eg: {Coca Cola | 10.000 | 4 | dec 2011}
Colums after that are the months of the year starting with januari 2011.

We are now at 29th of september, what i would like that on the row of that specific client, it puts 10000/4 = 2500 in colum of december 11 jan sicne that is the starting date of the campaign and the remaining 3 x 2500 over the next 3 months

can excel do it? do those formats exist?
