A friend saved an Excel spreadsheet and it somehow was saved as Quickbooks data. any ideas on how to open it...I've tried both Excel and QB and neither opens it. It's extension is .qbb.

Hi sammisgram and welcome to the forum,
Excel doesn't have a save-as to quickbooks. It looks like your friend did the following from quickbooks.

I don't have quickbooks file to test this, but you might try accessing the information using MS Query. Here is a link on how to use MS Query.

I can't find an option to save as .qbb from Excel. I suspect ir was exported from QuickBooks but not to Excel format. Recreate the file from QuickBooks
