Hi,
there is (should be) a shortcut for AutoSum ALT + = (+ENTER). Unfortunately, for some reason it doesn't work for me (Excel 2003). When I use that shortcut, nothing happens, except the cursor moves one cell lower as I press Enter.
Note: I use shortcuts all the time, so it's not the issue of pressing-holding-releasing order. I just don't get it.
Any help would be much appreciated!
Hi
You mean that if you press Alt+=,(Without Enter) at the same time, does not appears to you this?? =SUM()

Does it work if you run Excel in Safe Mode (press and hold the Ctrl key while starting Excel normally and answer Yes to the prompt)?
Good luck.
Did you try,OnErrorGoto0 suggestion??

Has it ever worked for you?
Good luck.
I was thinking it might be connected with the regional (Czech) keyboard layout. But it should be only a matter of the "=" key position. I know, where it is (two to the left from backspace). So if "=" itself works, it should work in combination with ALT as well. Strange thing is, 3 of my colleagues don't have this problem, two of us do. I don't see the difference.
If you all have the same settings and keyboards, that should not be an issue. Do you have any software that they don't? Sometimes software that hooks into the keyboard at an operating system level can override application shortcuts (I used to have a screen grab program that took over the f9 key by default).
Good luck.
Yes, I do have a program like that. I turned it off before I asked the question. But now I realize, the two of us with this issue might be the only one using this software (they are not here right now, so I cannot ask). Looks like I should try this on a fresh restared computer without the application ever launched.
Sorry, need to go, it's my lunchtime now, so I'll be back later. Thanks a lot.
I restarted my computer, didn't launch the "keyboard enhancing" application, launched Excel in Safe Mode, and the problem is still here. No reaction on ALT+ =. I onfly it didn't work for the colleagues who don't care about the shortcuts at all :-).
I mean "if only"...
I assume the Sigma button on the toolbar does work?
Good luck.
