Hi guys, trying to get some help using excel 2010 and to see if what i am looking to do is even possible.

I am trying to compile and divide all shift times with how many employees are working at any given time and displaying the role within a period.

    For example:
    Monday - 6-2 - 2 seniors / 8-4 - 1 senior, 3 frontlines / 10-6 - 1 senior, 4 frontlines - etc

Is this possible? Where can i can started as i am trying to find ideas or help on the net but can't seem to find anything specific to what i am trying to achieve and i found these board!

Here is an example of the book, names blanked out:

Attach a sample workbook. Make sure there is just enough data to demonstrate your need. Make sure your desired results are shown, mock them up manually if necessary.

    Remember to desensitize the data.
Click on GO ADVANCED and use the paperclip icon to open the upload window.

    example.xlsx

Here is a sample of the book with a few agents and times. The actual book has about 70-80 agents in total.

Now i put a mock up example at the bottom to show what i am trying to achieve which is displaying how many agents at any given shift start time. Eventually i may also want it to go down deeper by dividing or displaying the language at any given time as well.

    Thanks!

This is all I can think of formula wise. The monster formula in D35 is copied as is across that entire lower table.

To see how that formula is constructed, look at the colored columns off to the right. Each of the first 3 columns is counting in separate parts of the upper table. Then in the last colored column you can see simpler concatenation formula showing how the first 3 colored column formulas are tested to created the output. Technically, S35 and D35 are the same formula.

In D35, I've simply substituted the references O35 with the actual formula IN O35, the same for P35 and Q35. That gives the massive formula in D35 that no longer uses the colored cells at all, so it's a standalone formula when done.

Once you have the idea, you can removed the colored columns on the right, they are merely for explanation.
