Hi:
I'm a newbie so forgive me if this question has been answered. I couldn't find much with the search option.
Okay here's the problem.![]()
I want to enter this: 1-2 into a cell but Excel keep turning it into 2-Jan. How do I turn this off?
the 1-2 is just a designation of point 1 to point 2.
Thank you for helping.
You can format the cells to text and then you should be able to enter the information as 1-2 and get the result expected. Simply select the destination cells an go to Format>Cells>Number>Text. Hope this is what you are looking for.
this is exactly what I was looking for. your solution is right on the spot!![]()
