I have an issue where my first column (a) is rather wide, a list of potential discriptive products starting @ row 11. However in rows above from 1 to 10 I would like to divide column A into 2 columns. Is this possible?
Thanks for any help you may offer.![]()
reduce the width of column and from cell A11 merge cells like thisOriginally Posted by bigsumm
merge cells A11&B11 to one cell
merge cells A12&B12 to one cell
and so on downwards
hope this is what you are looking for.
Regards.
Probably easiest is to select the whole sheet, rightmouse and Format cells, Protection, and remove the 'Locked' tick. Then select B11:B65535 and replace the tick. Lock the worksheet and let Excel's natural display flow from column A over column BOriginally Posted by bigsumm
With no entries permitted in column B after row 10 there should be no problem.
(note, to select the whole sheet click the cell above the '1' in row and to the left of the 'A' column header. To select B11:B65535 type B11:B65535 in the Name box at the left of the Formula bar and press Enter)
