Question Working out average calls per hour

I know this is a really easy question, but it's Friday and I hardly got any sleep last night and I really can't think anymore.

I work in a Call Centre and what I want to do is work out the average number of calls someone takes per hour.

I have the number of calls they took in the day, as well as the number of hours and minutes they spent on the phones.

Obviously it's just a case of dividing one by the other, however given that one is a number and the other is time, i'm having problems figuring out how to do this.

    Any idea?

At the end of their shift, the agents submit the number of calls they've done, together with the total time they've spent on the phone. e.g. 3 calls, 1hr 00 min. The number of calls is in number format and the time in hrs & min format.

In the example above the average would be 3 calls per hour. That's what I need to work out. I tried that formula however it's returning a value of 0.33 (in number format) based on the above figures, when clearly it should be 3.
