Can someone point me in the right direction?

Hi folks, my first on here. I wonder if any one can help? I am pretty new to excel so am just starting to find my way around.

What I am trying to do is create a spreadsheet that will automatically calculate a resultant vector in 360 degree notation. Effectively if a line is 090 (east on a compass) and a force acts at 060 (30 degrees off the bearing) at a certain speed what the resulant vector direction would be.
The maths comes down to sin's of the angle x by the speed of the original vector.

Sounds complex - does anyone have a good place to start?

Ok, my Maths isn't good enough for this but I can tell you that the SIN() function will calculate the sine of an angle. So, there's a starting point !!
