Simple question. I want to find out the new amount if something increases at 6% a year for whatever number of years.
Into the first cell, I typed =60000*(1.06)
I want to carry that function down the entire column to see what the total would be for each year instead of having to type in the formula in each time..

Hello
Assuming u typed =60000*1.06 in cell A1
Now in A2 type =A1*1.06
Then just copy cell A2 to Cell A3 to say A20 and so on
Oh I know I could do that, but as I said above, I was trying to avoid that.
I know there is a way that you can just have Excel do that automatically.
That is what I am trying to figure out how to do.
1 - In cell A1 you have 6000.
2 - In cell A2 type =A1*1.06
3 - DRAG DOWN the formula from A2 as far as you want.
- Portuga
There is no such thing as a problem, only a temporary lack of a solution![]()
In formulas, you might need to replace ; with , depending on your XL version
Thanks a bunch!
