I need to create a graph of events over time, with "days between events" calculated. I think I've seen this done in a line graph.
My knowledge of Excel is very limited, so I am pretty much starting from scratch. Thanks!

Enter your data in a format similar to this. (attached)
Make sure you have a column that actually demonstrates the Days Between. I used a simple:
...copied down in the C column to get the days, format that column as General.Code:C4 =B4-B3
Now highlight the whole chart, and click on the Chart icon. Select Bar graph.
