Given a number (say... 30)
I want to make a row in an excel sheet that would decrement a value defined by a certain cell (say... 0.1) and a stop value defined by another cell(say... 0)
say A1 = Step Size = 0.1 and A2 = Stop Value = 0
B1 = Start Value = 30
How do I do something like this?
-- Using Excel 2003
Thanks...
If I understand correctly, you want the decrement to move across the columns on, say, row-1. So from B1 to last cell (= 0) you would have the formula.Given a number (say... 30)
I want to make a row in an excel sheet that would decrement a value defined by a certain cell (say... 0.1) and a stop value defined by another cell(say... 0)
say A1 = Step Size = 0.1 and A2 = Stop Value = 0
B1 = Start Value = 30
If that understanding is correct, then Excel 2003 does not have enough columns to decrement to zero given a step of 0.1. You could do this down a column as there are many more rows than columns
Maybe you should upload a sample workbook and manually illustrate what you mean if the above understanding is incorrect.
