I have MS Excel 2007. It seems that whenever I send a file to anyone, they get it as read only files. I never did anything to set it up that way. How can I change it or default it so that anyone can make changes to any documents I send them.
see if this works, right clicking on the file, Properties, lowest row (one that says Attributes) uncheck Read-only.
Otherwise, try this.
Office Button, Save As, at the bottom left, click Tools, select General Options, ensure that "Read-only Recommended" is unchecked.
