    Changing colours

    Hi!

How can I change the colours of conditional formatting (e.g. data bars) in 2007 to be our "company colours" so that they are saved to the template and not just for my own use. I know how to create colour themes, but they don't affect conditional formatting.
    Thanks for any help!

    Re: Changing colours

Thanks, but I've looked at that too and it's not exactly what I mean. In Conditional formatting - Data Bars - (e.g.) Blue Data Bar --> can I change the colour to e.g. purple? I was looking for some kind of Edit button. When changing the colours in color palette doesn't do that.
Maybe that's something that can not be done. Or maybe I can't explain myself clear enough.

    Re: Changing colours

    Try this for Data Bars

When you click on Data Bars you get a choice of 6 colours but you also get "More Rules..." option.
    Click on that.
The "New Formatting Rule" window opens and at the bottom you'll see a colour choice.
Click on the drop down for the colour showing and you'll see the current palette.
At the bottom of the palette you'll see "More colours..."
Click on that and you'll get a choice of Standard or Custom tabs.
Either one should give you what you're looking for, purple included.
