I am struggling to get the results I want between two sheets in the same book.
I want to have the same number in two sheets to be able to calculate in each sheet as if it were a number, and not text.
When I use the =TEXT function in sheet2 to duplicate the number in a cell in sheet1, the SUM cell will not calculate the source number in sheet2, unless I use the SUM function from sheet1.
Is there a way to have the same numbers from one sheet to another used to calculate independently in each sheet?
This seems to be a simple question, but being a simpleton when it comes to Excel... well you get my drift.
Attached is an abbreviated example of what I want to do.
=TEXT(Sheet1!D2,0)+0
Would work...
But why make then text in first place?
=Sheet1!D2
Unless you really want it as text?
Or..
If the cell reference for the people will dynamically change you could do a vlookup..
