Hi, I was wondering if anyone could help.
I am working on a tender and have been given lots of prices on an excel sheet...
Basically I want to add labour, materials on profit onto each figure that the supplier has given me..
What formula can I use to add 30% on to the figure in each cell?
Ive been playing around with different ones for ages and have not had any luck and dont want to revert to doing them by hand as there are hundreds....
Any help would be gratefully received... Danni![]()
Write in some cell 1.3
Copy
select cells you want to multiply
paste/spetial -> Multiply
"Relax. What is mind? No matter. What is matter? Never mind!"
Or you can write in one cell i.e. A1 30%
Then instead of SUM(A5:C5) formula (for example) you can use =SUM(A5:C5)*(1+$A$1)
"Relax. What is mind? No matter. What is matter? Never mind!"
so I would put =SUM(C350*1.3)?
is there any way of adding it to a figure already in the cell without copying each individual figure?
im new to all this formula business and not getting anywhere fast... sorry :{
oohh right im with you.!! thank you very much for your help! i'll give that a try!
I dont think I am getting it right.
I am wanting to change the figure in each individual cell by adding 30%.
i'm not wanting to add each figure together, then at 30%.
I have attached a section of the document im working on just incase anyone has any ideas.
So the figures in red I am wanting to add 30% to that number..
I dont think I'm making sense now....![]()

To elaborate on zbors suggestion...
1. Type 1.3 into a cell
2. Select the cell, and copy it to the clipboard (right click then select 'Copy' with left click or use the Excel menu).
3. Select the cell you want to add the percentage to and select 'Paste Special' (from the Excel menu or right click).
3. Check the radio box named 'Multiply' in the bottom right and click OK.
4. Your cell should now change to 130
