I'm not exactly a new user of Excel but you can treat me as such for Excel-2007 which I am finally trying to familiarise myself with. (Why did they ever change it?)
I went to hit alt-W F to unfreeze the panels and hit alt-W E by mistake. The ribbon and the menu have both disappeared. How do I get them back? Hitting alt-W E again doesn't work because it no longer recognises alt-W at all.

Never mind. I sorted it out.
If anyone else ever has the same problem, double-click on the title bar of the window to restore it to its original size (assuming it was maximised) and the menu and ribbon will reappear. Double click the title bar again to maximise the window once more.
Now, how do I give myself reputation for solving my own problem?
Pressing escape return me to normal view.
