HI,
I sum a column and want to use the same 'formula' for the next column so I thought you simply grab the handle and drag across to the next column and it would mimic the sum formula for the new column.
However it is copying the sum 'total' into the next column and not summing independantly the new column data.
Why??

I thinke either you have absolute references in the formula so that the ranges and/or cell references don't change when you copy it and therefore returns same results
or
You have Manual Calculation set instead of Automatic.
In the Formula tab, go to the Calculations Section and click Calculation Options and ensure Automatic is selected.
