the forum rules require code tags for VBA code only. The rules explain why.
Sometimes it's beneficial to use code tags for formulas, too, since the forum software will insert a space after 100 characters of continuous text without blanks, hence possibly rendering a formula faulty or useless for copy and paste.
Therefore, many members will post formulas in code tags, too, since code tags will prevent the insertion of spaces in long formulas. This does not mean that code tags are mandatory when posting formulas, though.
