    [SOLVED] need help on formulas for balance function (accounting)

    hi folks,

    Need help on the best formula to make sort of account detail
    i.e.

    date description CREDIT DEBIT BALANCE
    1/11 balance from october 35000
    5/11 income 4750 39750
    7/11 expense 450 39300

    what formula can I put in the BALANCE Row, so that when I put certain value to CREDIT row the balance will increase.
    And when I put certain value to DEBIT row, the balance will decrease

    example file are attached

    Formula in E3 copied down:

    =$E$2+SUM($C$3:C3)-SUM($D$3:D3)

    Your post does not comply with Rule 1 of our Forum RULES. Your post title should accurately and concisely describe your problem, not your anticipated solution.     Sorry, I've been away from the forum for too long, and sorry for my question title being not really clear. :D
