I set up data validation to have drop downs in my computer issues log spreadsheet. The information from the sheet, Service Tag No, is set for data validation, which gives the drop down in the Issues log sheet. I am trying to figure out how to update the service tag no sheet, column1, with the input from a user under sheet, Issueslog, Column1. Any ideas?
After that, I will also need help on making the document automatically sort, immediately after the user inputs a new row. Having to go to data, then sort, can be a bit time consuming. I have attached what i have so far.

You want to update column A, sheet "service tag no"? But you are using a named range "ServiceTagNo" with values from column A, sheet "service tag no" to populate the drop down lists? That would create a reference to itself?

After we enter issues into the "issues log" sheet, if the service tag is not found in the "service tag no" sheet, column A, then i would like for the "service tag no" sheet to be updated with the new service tag number taken from the "issues log" sheet (column A), to be placed into the "service tag no" sheet, column A.
Since I have the data validation is coming from the "service tag no" sheet, that will update my drop down in the "issues log" sheet, column A.
