Hi,
I have an excel with three columns. This excel gives overview of training scheduling in different places and for different peoples.
Location Position Date & Time
Bangalore Developer 21.12.2011 - 9 AM
Bangalore Developer 22.12.2011 - 9 AM
Bangalore Manager 21.12.2011 - 11 AM
Bangalore Developer 21.12.2011 - 1 PM
Delhi Developer 21.12.2011 - 9 AM
I need to create another column, which gives me rank of training scheduling for unique combination of location and position.
It should comes like :
Location Position Date & Time Rank
Bangalore Developer 21.12.2011 - 9 AM 1
Bangalore Developer 22.12.2011 - 9 AM 3
Bangalore Manager 21.12.2011 - 11 AM 1
Bangalore Developer 21.12.2011 - 1 PM 2
Delhi Developer 21.12.2011 - 9 AM 1
Thanks in advance.
Regards
Arnab
If your data starts at A2:C2 with "real dates and times" in column C, then in D2 enter:
=SUMPRODUCT(--($A$2:$A$6=A2),--($B$2:$B$6=B2),--(C2>$C$2:$C$6))+1
copied down.
Adjust ranges to suit entire data range.
