Date compairson

Ok is what i am trying to do is compare the dates and in columns and mark now many days they have been away. How do i do that? Could some one please help?

the year is missing in the above date. It may be due to format. if you include the year in above dates like Nov 22, 2011 02:33 PM then try in D1
=B1-C1 and format it as number and copy down
