I am using excel 2010. When I hit the "/" key at the beginning of a cell instead of showing the "/" character in the cell, numbers and letters pop up at the top of the screen overtop of the different tabs. ie F pops up over File H pops up over Home N popsup over Insert. These look like short cut keys. How do I shut this function off to use the "/" key at the beginning of cell? It just started happening.

- Press the Office Button
- Excel Options
- Advanced
- Scroll to the section "Lotus compatibility" (near the bottom)
- delete the "/" in the box for Microsoft Office Excel menu key
