dear friends,
As part of my work I have collected a set of travel time and the corresponding cost of individual from various houses. A sample of 300 houses were selected and the associated trips(travel) made by them were entered in separate excel column. As these data were collected by different enumerators how far can I depend on the data. please suggest some methods to check the accuracy of the data before going for my further analysis. (The time is entered in the column as 5:30,0:20,0:40,2:30 etc.)

Hi Sreela,
I believe you would have following columns in your data:-
House # ---------- Travel Time -------------- Cost
2ab3--------------- 5:30 ------------------- Rs.500
and so on...
If that is the case, you can quickly draw a pivot where House# will be in row and then Travel Time and Cost to verify if a similar travel has different costs against House #.

Put everything in row - one by one and then you can easily visualize the different travel time / cost for each House #. In case of confusion, upload a sample file. Thanks.
