Progress bar while Calculating

Hello,

I've searched everywhere and i can't seem to find a solution to my problem. Hope you can help.
Is there a way to have a similar progress bar like the one attached but to use it when excel is calculating or to use the status bar as a progress bar to show the users that they need to wait a bit. I dont use a macro when excel is calculating it's just a bunch of rows with index and vlookup formulas that are updated when either if change value using a picklist or using group/ungroup.
I've tried to use the file attached to my needs but i've only managed to either show the progress bar after excel is calculating or before. I can't make the progress bar to pop up while excel does the calculations.

AKAIK it's not possible. For it to work, you'd need to know how far Excel is though it's calculations - I don't think you can get this info, and even if you could you wouldn't want to since it would substantially slow the calculation down

Even if it would slow down calculations i would still prefer to let the user that is viewing the file what is progress. The calculations right now takes about 10 - 20 seconds.

I really hope deep down that there is a solution to this...

It already tells you that it's calculating and how far through it is, you've just opted to turn it off in your code
