I have a table of colours by stock category
I have 5000 lines which I don't want to do

If this is a one-off job then simply filter the column on each item, highlight the column and format it accordingly. 15 iterations of that and you're done.
If someone has helped you then please add to their Reputation
Apply conditional formatting on one sheet and then copy paste the format onto the column.
To understand better , i have attached your sheet with a few conditional formats.
